Clinical Advances in Periodontics (CAP), a quarterly online journal of the American Academy of Periodontology, is dedicated to advancing clinical management of patients by translating scientific knowledge into practical therapy.

CAP is published in a digital format that includes links to supplementary material. Individual papers can be accessed through standard search engines and may be downloaded and printed.

The journal contains four types of articles. Each article type has a specific set of guidelines. In addition, there are general guidelines that all manuscripts submitted to CAP must follow:

Subscriptions, Advertising and Reprint Permissions
Subscriptions to CAP are bundled with subscriptions to JOP. It is not possible to subscribe solely to CAP.
