Glenview Periodontist Installed as AAP President
Kenneth W. Bueltmann maintains a full-time private periodontal practice in Glenview, Illinois.
CHICAGO – October 9, 2001 – The American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) installed Kenneth W. Bueltmann, D.D.S., as president today during its 87th Annual Meeting in Philadelphia. He maintains a full-time private periodontal practice in Glenview, IL.
An AAP member since 1970, Bueltmann has been active on several AAP committees. Currently he serves on the Task Force to Consider World Workshop, Organizing Committee for an AAP/NIDCR 2001 Symposium on Periodontal and Systemic Diseases, associate editor of the Journal of Periodontology, Executive Committee, Finance Committee and Planning Committee.
He also has served on the Health Care Reform Committee, the Task Force on Periodontal Manpower and as liaison to the American Dental Association.
In addition to his activities with the AAP, Bueltmann is a past president of the Midwest Society of Periodontists and the Illinois Society of Periodontists.
He also is an active lecturer in both educational and professional settings.
A diplomate of The American Board of Periodontology, Bueltmann received his dental degree from Marquette University and his master science certificate of periodontology from the University of Iowa in 1966 and 1970 respectively.
