Who is Eligible?
Applicants for the Educator Scholarships must have been accepted into, or must be current students in, a periodontal postdoctoral training program in the United States. Applicants are welcome to apply in any year of their periodontal programs. Recipients must be student members of the AAP at the time they receive the Scholarship, and must intend to teach full-time in a
How Do Candidates Apply?
Completed applications are due by June 1. The application may be completed online and e-mailed as an attachment, with supporting documentation mailed separately, or all materials may be mailed together.
In addition to the application, the applicant's program director must submit a letter of nomination agreeing to provide the AAP Educator Scholar with guidance on pursuing a career in academics and certifying that the award is a supplement to, not a replacement for, any salary, stipend, research support, or other funding to which the student would normally be entitled.
