Dr. D. Walter Cohen Made Honorary Director of AAP Foundation

CHICAGO—October 31, 2005— –D. Walter Cohen, DDS, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was named an honorary director of the board of the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation at the board’s recent meeting in Denver.

Dr. Cohen has been a supporter of the Foundation since its inception in 1991 and has served two terms on its board of directors. He is also a past president of the American Academy of Periodontology and recipient of the Gold Medal Award, the highest honor bestowed by the Academy. Dr. Cohen received his training at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dentistry, where he later served as dean.
