AAP Foundation Elects E.C. (Pat) Patterson
to Second Board Term

CHICAGO, November 29, 2003 – The American Academy of Periodontology Foundation elected E.C. (Pat) Patterson, D.D.S., to a second three-year term on its board at its board of directors meeting in San Francisco in September. Dr. Patterson maintains a private practice in Macon, Georgia, and also is associate professor of graduate periodontics at Medical College of Georgia.
In addition to his service to the AAP Foundation, Dr. Patterson has served on the Board of Trustees of the American Academy of Periodontology, where he was also a senior district trustee for District III of the Academy. Dr. Patterson also served as president of the Georgia Society of Periodontists and the Southern Academy of Periodontology. He also is a delegate to the Georgia Dental Association House of Delegates. He currently serves on the International Team for Implantology. A graduate of the University of Illinois, Dr. Patterson completed his postdoctoral education in periodontology at Tufts University.
