CHICAGO—October 1, 2006—The American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) Foundation presented the
The AAP Foundation's E. Bud Tarrson Research Award in Oral Plastic Surgery was created to support and encourage periodontal research in oral plastic surgery. It awards $1,000 for the best paper on clinical oral plastic surgery published in a peer-reviewed journal. At least one of the paper's researchers must be a periodontist or a periodontal postgraduate student.
