Elibility requirements and submission guidelines for the Bud and Linda Tarrson Fellowship.

What is awarded?
The fellowship is a $36,000 award ($12,000 per year, for up to 3 years) for periodontists pursuing academic careers. The award is not intended to replace support that would normally have been provided by the recipient's institution.
Who is eligible?
Candidates for the Fellowship must be either a full-time faculty member at the instructor or assistant level or a part-time faculty member. The candidate must be affiliated for 10 years or less with a degree-granting institution, and their career goal must be teaching and research in periodontology. How do candidates apply?
Applications will be sent to Deans and Program Directors in March. Nominations will be accepted until May 1 from a candidate's periodontal program director, who submits an application form. In addition, the candidate must meet all requirements of the application.
