At the AAP's Annual Meeting September 28 - October 1 in Philadelphia, participants acquire new skills and techniques through continuing education opportunities, updates on current scientific research, and insight into the future of the profession.
Call for Abstracts
Abstracts will be solicited for presentations at three Annual Meeting events.
- Research Forum Poster Sessions provides a platform for clinical and basic research to be presented by those in the field of periodontics. Abstract submission is underway now until April 15.
- The Balint Orban Competition is an opportunity for current students or recent graduates of U.S. or Canadian periodontics programs to present their research to a panel of judges. Abstract submission is underway now until April 15.
- Innovations in Periodontics sessions address advances in clinical periodontics, basic sciences or related subjects. Abstract submission ended January 7.
Attendance Requirement
As stated in Chapter 1, Section 6 of the Academy Bylaws, member attendance requirements must be met unless a petition for extension of your respective time period has been filed with the Board of Trustees. If this is your year and you are not able to attend, please submit an Attendance Waiver Request no later than 60 days after the Annual Meeting.
