Superstorm Sandy has negatively impacted some Academy members. Members are encouraged to visit the “Superstorm Sandy” community on AAP Connect or the Academy’s Facebook page to ask for help or offer assistance.
If you are in the area impacted by the storm and need assistance, we encourage you to communicate your needs to other members by posting to the “Superstorm Sandy” community or the Academy’s Facebook page.
If you are able to provide assistance, we encourage you to communicate how you can help provide access to power and water or a clinical setting to see patients, by posting to the “Superstorm Sandy” community or the Academy’s Facebook page.

- Members in Connecticut, New Jersey and New York can apply for disaster assistance through the FEMA website (www.fema.gov).
- The ADA offers helpful information and resources.
- Apply for a Disaster Relief Grant of up to $3,000 through the AAP Foundation. Use the same link to donate to the Disaster Relief fund.
- If you purchased a Business Owners Policy through Treloar & Heisel, an AAP Practice Management Resource Program, you can direct questions to them at 800/345-6040.
