AAP Dental Hygiene Study Club Program

The AAP is excited to launch the Dental Hygiene Study Club Program. The Study Club Program aims to provide members with a suite of resources to host dental hygiene study club groups in their local area.
The AAP Dental Hygiene Study Club will include:
• Template resources – Invitations, sign-in sheets, and flyers to facilitate the hosting of a study club
• Best practice tips and tricks – Real life suggestions on how to get the most out of a hygiene-focused study club
• Video modules – Professionally produced video modules on compelling topics relevant to the hygiene audience led by periodontal thought leaders. Members can use the modules as the main study club presentation and then facilitate in-person discussion around the topic using personal cases and clinical experience.
• Background materials – Articles and other supplemental information to help members familiarize themselves with the study club video module topic and how it relates to the hygiene audience
• And more!
AAP Dental Hygienist Recognition Program
Coming soon!
To entice dental hygienists to engage with the AAP and join AAP member-led study clubs, the Academy will also unveil the Dental Hygienist Recognition Program. Hygienists who participate in an AAP Dental Hygiene Study Club in their local area can not only earn continuing education credit, but also earn progress towards AAP recognition! Additional ways to achieve recognition are forthcoming.
