Balint Orban Memorial Competition
The Balint Orban Memorial Program provides a platform for clinical or basic research to be presented by current periodontal residents or students who completed their training no more than 18 months prior to the Annual Meeting.
The Orban Competition is open to current students of U.S. or Canadian periodontics programs, or those who have graduated less than 18 months ago. Eight finalists will be selected to present their research to a panel of judges at the Annual Meeting in Vancouver. Research Forum Poster Session
Abstract submissions are now open for the 2018 Research Forum Poster Competition. The Research Forum provides a platform for clinical research, basic research, and case study posters to be presented by periodontal researchers.
All submissions will be reviewed by the Research Submissions Committee, who will select poster presenters and finalists. Research Forum finalists will present their research at the AAP Annual Meeting in Vancouver, with a cash prize being awarded to one poster in clinical research and another in basic research. In addition, one presenter will be awarded the Clinical Impact Award, given to the individual whose research has the greatest potential for changing and improving periodontal health and patient care.
