Volunteer Appointments
The AAP relies on its Active and Life Active members to volunteer for a variety of roles, such as serving on committees or task forces, volunteering as an ad hoc content expert, or participating in surveys, opinion polls and focus groups. Our goal is to match volunteers with a role that best suits their interests and experience. Please complete a Volunteer Application to be considered. Please note that volunteer applications are due April 30, except In-Service Examination Committee which are due February 28. Committee appointments will be announced in the fall and go into effect following the General Assembly at the Annual Meeting.
AAP Elections
The following positions are elected by AAP Active and Life Active members:
- Secretary/Treasurer
- District Trustee
- American Board of Periodontology Director
- Members of the Officer Nominating Committee
- Members of the Nominating Committee for the American Board of Periodontology
The candidate campaign period runs from January 1 through June 30.
